Throughout my life I have always had a strong passion for helping others and supporting them through life's challenging moments.  I believe that part of this drive came to me naturally and the other part was greatly inspired by the support I received during my own life experiences.  Pursuing a career in social work has given me the opportunity to provide my clients with a safe, non-judgemental, and compassionate space for them to heal, process, and grow.

I earned my Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Aurora University in 2024 and became a licensed social worker (LSW) in 2025.  In addition to these credentials, I have a professional educators license (PEL) and a certification as an alcohol and drug counselor (CADC).  Furthemore, I have been actively working towards becoming a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW).   

My experience includes working with clients of all ages in a variety of settings.  Most recently I have worked as a school social worker in an alternative high school, supporting adolescents through a wide range of behavioral, social, and emotional challenges so that they can be successful with their education and earn their high school diploma.  During this time I have also worked as a case manager at a domestic violence and sexual assault facility that provides shelter and crisis response services to all ages. I have also spent several years working as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Behavioral Health Tech in substance abuse treatment centers providing individual and group therapeutic services to those who struggle with substance abuse and other mental health concerns.  

I am supportive of clients from all different backgrounds and believe their treatment should be focused around their personal values and beliefs. I come with a genuine willingness to learn about my clients unique identities so I can support them based on their individual needs. My therapeutic approach often uses psycho-education to help clients understand their condition and treatment options; Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients develop their own internal motivators for change; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients explore the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so they can develop more healthy patterns; and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients with managing difficult emotions and develop effective coping skills.
